Smooth Q3 Demo player.
Posted by Time2Die@ 12:08 PM EST

    Dig it.

http://www.geekboys.org/geekplay/

A smooth little demo player that allows you to play both 1.17 and 1.27 demo's on your 1.27 config. Some nice fastforward and slow binds bound to the f5-f9 keys. And you just double click on the demo and it goes from there!

You'd think Nvidia had plugged their "beta drivers leak" with the lack of the weekly beta driver leaks. Their "official" release is still 6.31 even tho there are 7 series and 6.49's floating around. Here's my favorite spot to grab "beta" nvidia drivers:

Got this smooth camera for xmas...might have to start posting some of the pictures. It does some smooth ass panoramic. Diffently going to get the #killco page backup this week with some new pictures.

Also...DSL is slated to be installed this Wednesday at my house. Upgrading from Bellsouth ADSL to Megapath.net SDSL. From 1.25/256 to 1meg/1meg. It's a tier one service and while be suitable for hosting web pages. Which is great since KI recently lost it's web hosting connection...

Also, Gamersgauntlet.com is rocking the quickie mart with over 50 people registered for it's next LAN event. Take a peek here:

Updates.
Posted by Time2Die@ 11:18 AM EST

If you haven't noticed updates are forth coming again. If you're a member that wants to start posting news as you find it please email me a username and logon and I'll set you up. GamersGauntlet and some Real-life stuff has kept my attention away from my duties...

Also, I thought gore posted this but it was something else on second reading. Here's a "fixed" version of demo001 to do bench marks on 1.27.

The original link:

And a local mirrow:

I get 188 frames at 640x480 with sounds off on a P3 733/133 with 256megs of RAM and a Geforce2 DDR on Win2k using 6.18 drivers. Thank you...please drive thru.

Recruits.
Posted by Time2Die@ 10:54 AM EST

With the holidays and what not I don't believe we have any recruits but if for some reason you put in an app and haven't heard anything you need to message me in IRC.

New Desk.
Posted by Time2Die@ 10:53 AM EST

What a PAIN! Got this new desk in the computer of love and I can't get my keyboard/mouse in the right spot. What a pain...literally! My right arm is either hanging or resting wrong so I end up all sore. It's mostly keyboarding that kills me. I don't want to get a MS Ergo keyboard...but I may be forced to! Damn...this sucks.

Other than that it's nice to have a desk with drawers to put stuff.

Quake3 Filez
Posted by Jeremy@ 10:26 PM EST

    Hey hey....

Just a couple of neato Quake3 things to mention.

First, is this site which has instructions on how to play PC Quake3 on the Dreamcast servers. (Note that all you really need is a copy of the 1.16n .exe in a 1.17 directory and the Dreamcast pak file installed.)

Next, somebody went and whipped together some recompiled .dll files for version 1.27g (I'm assuming they'll also work on the newly released 1.27h BETA, which fixes bunches of problems including mouse sensitivity). I haven't had a chance to bench these yet, but I got about 10% more frames with .dlls for 1.17 so my hopes are high.

And, speaking of 1.17, for those who still find yourselves needing to use the old version there's this utility to switch between 1.17 and 1.27.
